The 4th Symposium on 18th-Century Life and Customs in western Pennsylvania

The David Bradford House and Washington & Jefferson College are excited to bring two of the Nation's  most renowned historical interpreters: Dean Malissa and Bill Barker.  Mr. Malissa is the Official Historical Portrayer of George Washington for Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens and has taken part in many State Functions.  Mr. Barker is the Official Thomas Jefferson Interpreter for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.

Mr. Malissa and Mr. Barker do not just portray these two historical figures, they bring them to life.  If you see these men perform, you will leave believing you have just met Presidents Washington and Jefferson.

The Bradford House and Washington & Jefferson College are giving you that opportunity.  The Symposium on 18th-Century Life and Customs, for the first time ever, is bringing these two historical figures together at W & J to debate the Whiskey Rebellion.

This is your opportunity meet George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
