Blue Eagle Tavern
- The Blue Eagle Tavern is located in the lower level of the Main Pavilion.
- New this year is an auxiliary beer wagon on Main Street in front of the lower Pavilion.
- As the largest, free festival around, our organizers ask that you drink responsibly for this family-friendly event and do not leave the festival footprint with any open containers.
Cocktails:
- The Rebellion Smashed $14: Fresh mint, bright lemon, house simple syrup, and full-bodied, wheated Maker’s Mark bourbon come together as a cooling frontier julep built for a hot July afternoon. Crushed citrus and garden mint make this the perfect libation
for listening to the Whiskey Rebellion Festival musical performers! - Canon’s Black Horse $14: A smooth, rich Manhattan crafted with Maker’s Mark, aromatic or orange bitters, house syrup, a Luxardo cherry and a fresh orange twist. Elegant, strong, and timeless — the kind of cocktail worthy of an afternoon or evening in
the parlor at David Bradford House—or listening to our surprise headliner wailing at the music pavilion at 8p on Saturday! - Elizabeth Bradford’s Spritz $14: A sparkling summer whiskey spritz featuring Red Pump Rye, blood orange liqueur, Prosecco, lemon juice, and a touch of sweetness. Light, citrusy, and refreshing with just enough rebellion underneath the bubbles. Try one, and you’ll want another!
- The Ginger Hill $14: Red Pump Rye and blood orange liqueur meet spicy ginger beer with a splash of orange juice for a bright, effervescent cooler inspired by the rolling hills of frontier Pennsylvania. Crisp, zesty, and effortlessly easy to drink in the summer heat. Ask anyone working the festival to tell you the story of the Hamilton brothers dealing with tax collectors!
- Rebel’s Choice $14: Your choice of whiskey (Red Pump Rebellion Rye or Maker’s Mark) served neat, on the rocks, or with cola. If you like, add ginger beer, bitters, or a shot of blood orange liqueur to create a taste of your own — simple, strong, and something they could not have ever imagined on the frontier.
- Just Plain Insurrection $10: Sip some revolutionary spirit with a glass of Prosecco while it lasts. A crisp, fruit-forward sparkling white wine that is approachable, with lively bubbles, aromatic notes of green apple and pear, and versatile, easy-drinking nature.
- Liberty Mocktail $5: Refreshing ginger beer and fruit juice finished with a fresh orange garnish. Crisp, cold, and festive without the spirits.
Chilled, Adult-only "Moose Shake" Shooters:
A delicious sample of two of the many tasty, cool treats available in downtown Washington from our neighbor at Bones Distillery:
- Vanilla ($5): Smooth, mellow, and irresistibly creamy, Moose Shake Vanilla Crème Liqueur blends rich dairy cream with warm vanilla flavor for a decadent sip that goes down easy at 30 proof. Notes of whipped cream, vanilla bean, and soft caramel create a dessert-like finish that’s equally perfect chilled, over ice, or mixed into coffee and cocktails. At 1.7 oz., it’s a pocket-sized indulgence with big flavor.
- Peanut Butter Banana ($5): Moose Shake Peanut Butter Banana Crème Liqueur delivers a nostalgic flavor combination with a smooth, grown-up twist. Creamy peanut butter richness meets ripe banana sweetness in a velvety liqueur balanced at 30 proof for an easy-drinking finish. Dessert-forward and surprisingly smooth, this 1.7 oz. treat is perfect ice-cold, blended into shakes, or enjoyed straight from our cooler for a sweet, playful kick.
