Corporate Partners of the Bradford House

At the Bradford House Museum, we are dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Western Pennsylvania, the Whiskey Rebellion, and David Bradford. This important work is only possible through the generosity and involvement of our community — including the businesses and corporations who call this region home.

Becoming a Corporate Partner of the Bradford House means more than a sponsorship; it means joining a tradition of stewardship, education, and community pride. Together, we can inspire the next generation while celebrating our shared past.

Ways Your Company Can Get Involved

Company Volunteer Days

Bring your team to the Bradford House for a day of service and camaraderie. From helping with museum upkeep and grounds projects to supporting public events, your employees will enjoy a rewarding hands-on experience while strengthening team bonds.

HGD Architects' entire staff spent a day rehabbing the Bradford House's garden area. They painted the picket fences, the well and the garden shed. Additionally, they maintained portions of the garden.

EQT Corporate employees have volunteered for multiple days. The EQT Crew helped remove some boxwood bushes, put our period garden to bed, and prepared a substantial area of brick courtyard for placement of polymeric sand. The EQT crew also helped take down three canopies, stowed them for the winter and removed numerous bags of yard waste.

The Bradford House garden is an important part of our docent led-tour. Visitor are educated on how the garden was used for medicinal and everyday purposes during the 18th century. Additionally, the garden is a common spot for prom and homecoming pictures, so we are always striving to have it in tip-top shape.

Corporate Retreats and Meetings

Host your next company retreat or team-building session at the Bradford House. Our historic setting offers a unique backdrop for creativity and collaboration, while supporting a nonprofit mission rooted in heritage and education. Engage your employees outdoors in the beautiful Bradford House Gardens, or take advantage of our indoor meeting space across the street in the Meeting House, complete with Wi-Fi and a TV for presentations and collaboration.

Several organizations are currently utilizing the Meeting House. The Rotary Club of Washington meets twice a month at the Meeting House. Additionally, the Church of the Covenant and Washington Community Theatre have used the Meeting House.

The Meeting House is ideal for meetings of 30 or less. There are 10 collapsible six-foot tables, 30 folding chairs and 20 rolling chairs. The Meeting House is ADA compliant and has a small kitchenette with a sink, microwave and small fridge. There is also a dry erase board mounted to the left wall.

Whether you are utilizing the Bradford House or the Meeting House, a Bradford House board member or staff member must be present. We also require that nothing be set up in front of the wall TV, as recently we had to replace the TV due to a cracked screen. There is a security camera in the Meeting House.

Event Hospitality Partners

Support our special programs and community events by donating food, beverages, or catering services. Your generosity helps us welcome visitors and provide for volunteers while showcasing your company’s commitment to local culture and hospitality.

Angelo’s Restaurant, Cakes by Wendy, Vocelli's Pizza, Chicco Baccello, and Pretzels Plus have previously provided food for our volunteers.

Financial Donations & Event Sponsorships

Your financial partnership ensures the preservation of the Bradford House and the continuation of our educational programs. Sponsorship opportunities are available for annual events, school programming, and community celebrations — offering meaningful visibility for your business while making a lasting impact.

Examples include the Olivia Scott Foundation supporting Symposium Jr. and Cardello Lighting and Electric Company supporting the Bradford House’s Anniversary Event. There is no required minimum amount of donation or sponsorship. The Whiskey Rebellion Festival requires many sponsors. We could not offer this free community event without sponsors. For 2025, there were over 40 Whiskey Rebellion Festival sponsors. Sponsors are recognized on our social media platforms and our website.

Educational Support

Help us expand our outreach by sponsoring school field trips, funding student scholarships for summer programs, or underwriting educational materials. Together, we can make history accessible to all learners.

Most recently, Range Resources has provided grant monies to allow K-12 school field trips. We have learned from several school districts that the admission costs and transportation costs are beyond their means. McGuffey and Washington School Districts were able to offer field trips to their 8th grade classes through this grant program.

In-Kind Contributions

Businesses can also contribute through in-kind gifts such as printing, design, equipment, or professional services. Every contribution helps us preserve history and connect with the community. Printing has become one of our largest operational expenses. Printing is needed for most of our educational programming including the free materials that are provided to teachers and students.
